This is one of the three sauces served with the Cheesecake Factory Thai Lettuce Wraps. The others are the Tamarind Cashew and the Thai Peanut sauce.

This sauce is the perfect combination of sweet and spicy, but don’t worry, it’s not too spicy to enjoy.  The flavor combination works out very well.  Give it a try with the lettuce wraps or another entree and you’ll soon find you’re using it like some use ketchup.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 lime - juiced
  • 1 tsp garlic - minced
  • 1 tsp red chili paste

Method

Step 1

Combine the rice wine vinegar, fish sauce, hot water, sugar, lime juice, garlic and chili paste in a blender and puree until smooth.

Step 2

Pour into bowls and store in the refrigerator. Bring to room temperature before serving.
