Chef Pablo’s FAQ

0 Comments | August 16, 2012

I get a lot of questions from people, so I thought it would be smart to develop an FAQ.  I will continue to add to this page as questions repeatedly show themselves in emails.

Are you a “real” chef?

Technically, the title of chef is given to someone who is formally trained in the culinary arts. Though I’ve never been to school for this, I do have many years of experience working in the kitchen.  I adopted the title to show my love for all things related to food and cooking.  It’s with a tremendous amount of respect that I attach this title to my name and in no way do I intent to diminish the distinguished meaning behind this title.

Where do you get your recipes?

Most of the recipes you’ll find on ChefPablos.com have come from my research in an effort to cook the most delicious meals possible. After years of study and experience, I’ve been able to look at or even imagine a specific dish and develop a rough idea of how it should be put together.  From there, with trial and error, I’m able to come up with the perfect taste, texture and appearance.  Most of my recipes will continue to morph and develop over time, often with the input of users just like you.

Do you accept requests for specific recipes?

Yes, but I can’t promise I’ll be able to get to all fo them.  I honestly try to find the items having the widest appeal and the opportunity to satisfy the most number of visitors.  Having said that, if you have something unique and intriguing, please don’t hesitate to submit it.  Here is where you can submit your recipe request.

May I republish your recipes on my site?

I’m honored to have you request to republish one of my recipes and I’m happy to allow this with proper credit given.  Please link back to this site using the following phrasing. “This recipe used with the permission from Chef Pablo’s Recipes.” The anchor text “Chef Pablo’s Recipes” must link back to http://ChefPablos.com

Do you accept product submission for review on your site?

Yes, but I can not promise your product will be reviewed within a specific time period or even at all. Any items needing to be returned should include the proper packaging and postage to allow for this. All product submission should be mailed to:

Go Coastal Media, LLC
Chef Pablo – Product Submissions
5500 Military Trail, Suite 22-137
Jupiter, FL 33458

What equipment do you use for your videos?

I’m currently using a Canon T3i DSLR as my main camera.  I also use an iPhone 4S for some of the other shots, with the Filmic app to give me the highest quality possible. All editing is done on a Macbook Pro using Final Cut Pro X.

Do you have a cookbook available?

I would like to eventually publish a hardcopy recipe book, but haven’t done so yet.  If you’re interested in this, please visit my contact page and I’ll make sure to let you know when this happens.

I’m a journalist and would like to do an interview or story about you. How do I set that up?

I’m absolutely honored to entertain your request and will most likely accomodate your needs.  Please visit my media page and submit your request along with a basic outline of your story idea, or the general topic of the interview.

Can I advertise my product on your site?

Yes, assuming it doesn’t promote any products of an adult, illegal or morally questionable nature.  The best way to do this in on my advertise with us page.  Myself or someone on our staff will get back to you as soon as possible.
